Croissants de Paris.

Un Croissant, s'il vous plait!

Croissant? Yes Please. Did you know? Croissants have actually come from Austria, and were known as Kipferls there. So technically, Kipferls are Croissants' ancestors, haha! The word Croissant comes from the Crescent shape of the moon. Ideally, you can find two types of Croissants, a croissant au beurre and croissant ordinaries. A Croissant au beurre is made up of only butter, while the Croissant ordinaries are typically in a crescent shape. Croissants look crispy and flaky, but taste buttery at the same time.

The French eat Croissant for breakfast almost everyday, but in different ways! Some have it with Nutella and strawberries while others like to have it in a savory manner as a Croissant Sandwich. Trust me, both combinations taste heavenly.

Croissant sandwiches are very popular among the Gen-Z. They love innovating their regular butter croissants by adding their favorite fillings into it. Some of the most popular fillings for a croissant sandwich are Spinach or Ham and cheese. The 'Pain au Chocolat' is also a go to for sweet tooths. They certainly know how to make their food look tempting and taste amazing.

Making a croissant at home is too difficult for a job, but guess what? Here are a few places that serve amazing Croissants in Ahmedabad!
  • Upper Crust - For the buttery goodness
  • Le Artisan Boulangerie - The Perfect Flaky Croissants!
  • Little French House - Croissant Sandwiches there are a must try!
  • Mleko - For Nutella Croissants.
  • Cocoa Drama - For the OG 'Pain au Chocolat'
Hope you try these out, and fall in love with Croissants as much as I am. Thank you for engaging!
